Pairing: Derek/Allison (was going to be and then this wound up an orphaned scene, at least).
Notes: Futurefic, probably darker than canon will turn out to be. Written towards the end of season two. AU that assumes that the Peter Hale arc ends badly and that that has serious consequences. Heads up that this story discusses someone getting injured.

I was writing more of this and then the rest of the story wound up mostly about werewolf politics, so I'm posting this as an orphaned scene.

I did this for the fun of worldbuilding, and thinking about how Buffy would be different if it was set on Ursula Le Guin’s world O (the traditional summary is here). The only worldbuilding that I feel needs to be noted outside of the story itself is that I have a pet theory that high school wouldn’t be so bad we needed to burn it to the ground if it wasn’t a holding pen for teenagers. So I never burned it down. Um. That’s about it. Also, I don’t think a bisexual planet would be afraid of vampires for the same reasons we are. But they sure are afraid of moiety-cest!

So this has been in my WIP folder since New Who season 1. I have decided that I am okay with it just being the middle part with none of the Tragic Ends which we all know happen by Season 4. I am making my own private WIP amnesty day in this here journal, so here is fic-I-would-have-made-more-of-but-I-liked-it-this-length number one.
